About me
Aida Aranda is the Training Director for the Oregon & S. Idaho Laborers-Employers Training Trust and Administrator of the Oregon Laborers Apprenticeship Program. Aida is a 25-year member of LiUNA, and Local 737.
Aida is a journey worker Construction Craft Laborer (CCL) with more than 15 years of experience in registered apprenticeship and over a decade in the field as a CCL in the building construction industry.
Aida was appointed to serve on the Oregon State Apprenticeship and Training Council for two terms and is currently serving on the Portland Metro Workforce Board and participates in different capacities with community organizations and pre-apprenticeship training programs.
Aida considers registered Union Apprenticeships to be her professional passion. “My job allows me to wear many hats, but my favorite is always my hardhat”
She believes we can help build connections to apprenticeships and make career pathways to the trades an accepted, sought after, and highly regarded career option for youth and workers from all communities.”
Apprenticeships offer tremendous opportunities and are an untapped resource in existing and emerging industries for both employers and workers. Apprenticeships can create the needed skilled workforce pipeline for industry and offer rewarding career pathways to good Union jobs that provide economic and social equity.
