About me
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Diane recently moved back to Oregon after working internationally for nearly two decades. Most recently, she worked in foreign policy for 13 years as a U.S. State Department Career Foreign Service Officer. Her postings included stints in the United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia, India, and Saudi Arabia where her portfolios included everything from political and public affairs to travel visas and American citizen services. Prior to joining the State Department, Diane taught sciences in the United States and internationally. Her undergraduate studies were at the University of Washington in Zoology, Spanish Language and Literature, and a minor in Chemistry. She currently lives in Corvallis with her family and recently completed her Master’s in Public Policy, with a focus on environment and energy, at Oregon State University. Outside the office, Diane can be found exploring the many trails of Corvallis with her family or practicing her amateur gardening skills in the backyard.
