About me
Katherine has worked in community development, economic development and urban redevelopment for close to 20 years. She has worked for the City of Portland's economic development agency, Prosper Portland, for over 15 years in various roles that have ranged from managing Central City redevelopment projects to managing startup and entrepreneurship programs.
In 2021, Katherine transitioned to serving as the agency’s Green Cities Industry Liaison, a resource connector and point person for industry initiatives in climate tech, environmental technologies and green building companies. In this current role, she is connecting with Portland Green Cities companies regularly to support their growth, co-managing projects on initiatives such as Powerize NW and the Portland Clean Industry initiative, manages a local industry website called webuildgreencities.com, and partners with many different organizations and stakeholders supporting a thriving and inclusive climate tech industry in Portland. Katherine holds a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University and a BS in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
