About me
Nick has been on Commission Staff for a little over three years. He’s managed dockets on demand response and energy efficiency, and lead an effort to develop and implement guidelines initiating regulatory review of electric utilities’ planning practices for their distribution systems. Before arriving in Oregon Nick spent five years in Iowa. He worked with architects and engineers to enroll commercial buildings in a utility-sponsored efficiency program. Prior to Des Moines, he lived in Madison, Wisconsin spending six years as a project manager at an energy efficiency focused non-profit conducting research and evaluation. He also worked for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ Bureau of Air Management, where he staffed a gubernatorial task force on climate change. Nick received a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a B.A. in Communication Studies from The University of Montana.
