About me
Raphaela Hsu-Flanders has been at Bonneville Environmental Foundation since 2019 and leads the Renewables team's low-income and tribal solar project development throughout the Pacific Northwest. She partners with tribes, community groups, affordable housing providers, utilities, businesses, state agencies, and funders to develop projects that deliver direct economic benefits to communities. Her work focuses on generating meaningful electricity bill savings and workforce development opportunities for those experiencing high energy burdens. She provides financial, technical, grant writing, and overall project development support. Prior to working at BEF, Raphaela worked to get climate champions elected to the Oregon legislature, worked on statewide air quality policy development, and has experience in environmental education and atmospheric chemistry research.
